Traffic will be down to one lane on Interstate 80 eastbound at a spot between the two Ottawa exits for several weeks. The Illinois Department of Transportation says the bridges two miles east of Illinois 23 are being painted. The work starts Monday and could take until the end of September. Drivers are warned there will be slowdowns and backups at times.
