A water main project starts tomorrow on Ottawa’s east side. Green St. from Main St. to Chapel St. will be closed. The intersections will be open for local traffic to get through, but people who would take Green St. into or out of the city should probably take a different route. The closure will last until about August 5th. City Commissioner Tom Ganiere says the water main work is unrelated to the upcoming project to raise Green St. north of that stretch so it’s above the floodplain.
