Authorities in two counties believe a Dana man tried to cross a train track when he shouldn’t have and then lied about what happened to his truck. A train hit it in Toluca Saturday night. LaSalle County Sheriff Adam Diss says 24-year old Brandon Lee Johnson fled the scene. Diss says back in LaSalle County, Johnson reported the truck stolen. But he’s now accused of filing a false police report in LaSalle County and several traffic violations in Marshall County. Johnson wasn’t hurt in the crash.
