The high speed chase and crash in Peru late Friday afternoon has led to traffic charges against one person. Peru police say an investigation’s underway that could lead to more charges against 25-year old Claude Snulligan of Chicago and three others who were with him.

Police took a report of some people trying to spend counterfeit $100 bills at the CVS Pharmacy in Peru. Witnesses said the people left in a black SUV. Police spotted one on Marquette Rd. and a chase started.

It eventually hit a tree off Venture Dr. and four people allegedly got out and ran. They’ve all been caught.
