By WCMY News Jul 4, 2022 | 7:53 AM

The Ottawa Police Department says the fireworks display will be busy. Ottawa Captain Mike Cheatham says drivers should be extra patient going through downtown and over Veteran’s Memorial Bridge. Construction will remain in place, which means both sides of the bridge will be down to one lane. Plus, spectators and pedestrians are expected to fill downtown.

After the show is over, vehicles in Allen Park will be directed westbound onto Hitt St where they should use 4H Rd or Fosse Rd to get to Rt 23. And those parking at OTHS will have to use Orleans St to go to E. Main St before using Green St to get to Norris Dr. Police will be present to help manage traffic control signals both north and south of the bridge.

Anyone spectating at OTHS are only allowed on the north football bleacher seating area. No spectators are allowed on the track, football field, south bleacher seating, or levee.
