People going to the Peru Fireworks display on Sunday, July 3rd will need to figure out where they can park. Police Lieutenant Doug Bernabei says the department will place temporary parking restrictions for the display.
No parking is allowed across from the old electric plant where the family area will be. Drivers should also expect barricades set at the intersection of Water and Plain Streets as well as Putnam and Water Streets.
The restrictions take effect starting a 5 pm. Traffic will not be allowed southbound on Pike St. from Market St. as well as Putnam St. south of First St. after 7:30. You can find a full list of where you can’t park during the display here.
