The campaign manager for 74th District Republican Illinois House candidate Brad Fritts died in a car crash in Earlville Monday afternoon. John Fritts was a relative; he and other relatives were in the car. A campaign announcement says Brad Fritts is shaken up but out of the hospital. The announcement asks people to remember the Fritts family in their thoughts and says John Fritts will be best remembered for his smile.
John Fritts lived in Dixon and was once the treasurer in Lee County. Brad Fritts is running for the Republican nomination against Li Arellano in the newly drawn Illinois House district that includes northwest LaSalle County and parts of Lee and DeKalb counties.
