Motorcyclists from across the country are coming to Marseilles this Saturday for the 19th annual Motorcycle Freedom Run. Donations from the riders will go toward the Middle East Conflict Wall and will help with the cost for adding names and helping those who lost loved ones.

Conflict Wall VP Anna Russo said in April that thirteen names will be added to the wall this year. Commissioner Gary Lewey says the city will start moving cars off of Main Street staring at eight am Saturday morning. Mayor Jim Hollenbeck says the freedom run is pretty routine for the city at this point, but he hopes everyone has a nice time and hopes the weather is nice.

The ride starts in Morris at the Grundy County Fairgrounds and will end at the Middle East Conflict Wall. There will not be a Freedom Fest after the ride this year because of the lack of funding for it.
