Ottawa River Rescue continues search for man in river

Ottawa River Rescue is still searching for the man who fell into the Illinois River by the Starved Rock State Park boat launch Sunday. Fire department dive teams and rescuers with equipment that helps find things underwater have ended their part of the search. River Rescue Capt. Randy Phelps says that doesn’t mean his squad is done. It’s out with boats, but it’s not sending people into the water. It’s not thought that the man survived. Phelps says River Rescue will keep looking until someone finds a body so the family can have closure.
