Cong. Kinzinger believes Trump knew he lost the election

Cong. Adam Kinzinger says not much has changed since the Capitol riot last year.

One thing the Channahon Republican says has changed is that if Donald Trump returns to the White House, he’ll fill his administration with more staunch loyalists earlier on. On CBS’s Face the Nation, Kinzinger said anyone who’s trusted with power needs to put the oath of office above loyalty to a person. Otherwise, he says, laws won’t matter.

And he says Trump knew he legitimately lost the 2020 presidential election, because well informed people told him so.

Kinzinger said when Trump couldn’t get what he wanted from Vice Pres. Mike Pence, he started pressuring members of Congress. The Channahon Republican says it’s up to the American people to decide what kind of country they want to have when they vote.
