Ottawa Family Pride Fest organizer Dylan Conmy doesn’t think there’s ever been such an event in LaSalle County. It attracted so much interest, he had to make room for more vendors and a second stage.
It’ll be in Washington Park and the Jordan block Saturday and start with a pet parade at 10am. That’s not something people associate with gay pride, but Conmy says everyone loves animals and the event is for everyone who feels being gay is not a reason to be made an outcast. Music and other events will go until 5pm.
