Starved Rock Lodge not affected by Grand Bear fire

Grand Bear Resort at Starved Rock is the full name of the resort where seven cabins burned down Monday. But it’s not the same business as Starved Rock Lodge, which is more than a mile away. Starved Rock Lodge issued an announcement Tuesday that it’s not affected by the fire, but it’s getting a lot of calls from people asking about the fire. And Grand Bear Resort issued a statement saying its lodge is also open, its water park is unaffected, and most of the cabins and villas weren’t touched by the flames and smoke.
