Update: Two suspects arrested in connection with shots fired incident in Streator

Update with names and charges: Two Streator people have been arrested in connection with a gun being fired in the 1600 block of S. Illinois St. in Streator Wednesday. Twenty-four year old Timothy Wheaton and 27-year old Alyssa K. Shelton are charged with reckless discharge of a firearm.

Livingston County deputies say they received a tip at 2:30 in the afternoon Thursday that led them to the Olive Garden restaurant in Peru. Wheaton and Shelton were arrested and taken to the Livingston County jail. Sheriffs Deputies say they got help from Peru police, Streator police, and the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Department.

Later, they arrested a man and a woman at the Olive Garden restaurant in Peru. Both suspects were taken to the Livingston County Jail. Charges are pending for both people.

Sheriffs Deputies say they got assistance from Peru police, Streator police, and the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Department.
