Statewide, there aren’t enough people to officiate high school sports games. The Illinois High School Association is trying to recruit the referees from graduating players. Patrick Lower hosted an Officiating 101 class this month. He talked about it with the IHSA Board of Directors.
Lower says he kept active in basketball after his high school graduation by joining the officiating staff.
