Weather forecasters warn of elevated fire danger

By WCMY News May 16, 2022 | 6:17 AM

The National Weather Service issued a Special Weather Statement about an elevated fire danger today. It says warm, breezy, and dry conditions will make it easy for outdoor fires to get out of control. The statement asks people to consider postponing any outdoor burning until another date. Some cities prohibit outdoor burning at certain times, on certain days, or altogether. In any case, no outdoor fires should be left unattended.
