The state of Illinois will spend almost $1.4 million for improvements at the appellate courthouse in Ottawa. The ramp and main entrance will be replaced. So will about 47 windows and the big stairs at the entrance. And there’ll be heating and air conditioning work. The state is also spending $2.3 million at Sheridan Correctional Center for electrical upgrades and generators. The money is coming from the Illinois Capital Development Board through the Rebuild Illinois Plan.
