The Peru City Council approved a sale and predisposition agreement with Building Materials Manufacturing Corporation in a special meeting last week. This is the latest step with brining a new business to an area located north of Interstate 80 and west of Plank Rd near Bureau County.
The city council annexed the land about a month ago. City Engineer Eric Carls says there will be a few more meetings with company. He says an official announcement will be on June 30th.
