The news that the U.S. Supreme Court might reverse abortion rights wasn’t a surprise to Nicole O’Shea. She says it’s been shaping up for six years.
O’Shea organizes rallies for Stand With Planned Parenthood and will have one at Washington Square in Ottawa at 4:30pm until 7pm next Wednesday, May 11. She says if the right to an abortion goes, the right to contraception could be next. She says the abortion prevention message is out there too.
O’Shea says she’s happy that Illinois is preserving abortion rights, but she doesn’t think that’s a guarantee if abortion opponents keep at it.
