Chris Lukow with the anti-abortion organization Love Life says people in the movement knew it would happen one day. It’s not the U.S. Supreme Court’s issued opinion, but a draft opinion indicates the court will say that abortion can be banned and is up to states to decide.
Lukow says now’s the time for everyone who wants to help women avoid abortion to get to work. He thanks everyone who has supported the cause. He suggests people support places like Abigail Women’s Center in Mendota, Under His Wings in Ottawa, and Hope Life Center of Ottawa and other locations. They provide crisis pregnancy help.
Lukow says 28 states have laws or will soon have laws that will still allow abortion. Illinois is one of the least restrictive and is a state women come to for abortions. Critics call it abortion tourism.
