Mayor Dominic Rivara says he’ll look at Oglesby’s ordinance against lewd conduct and make sure it’s in compliance with other laws. Last month, he said he understands that what’s acceptable changes, but he’ll enforce the ordinance against nude and nearly nude dancing.
Jon Shapiro, the former radio host known as Shap, asked the City Council last night about the ban on cross dressing. He says people who are comfortable in clothes for the other sex won’t feel comfortable in Oglesby.
Even male and female impersonators are prohibited in entertainment, according to the ordinance.
