1,775 Illinois Valley Community College students got financial help from the college. Financial Aid Director Eric Johnson says about one million dollars is coming from Federal COVID relief money.

To receive a “Spring Retention” payment, students have to say enrolled until April 7th. Those who did twelve or more credit hours will receive $1,000 and those who did six to eleven hours will get $500. High school students in IVCC’s dual enrollment program will also receive checks.

President Jerry Corcoran says the payments can help students with their summer and fall tuition.
