The LaSalle County Board Salary and Labor Committee is recommending $100 per meeting as the pay for board members starting in December. That would be a change from $60 per day on meeting days. Someone who’s on committees that meet back to back only gets $60 now, but would get $200 under the new proposal. That doesn’t happen often anymore, since on most days there is only one committee meeting.
The resolution is going to the full County Board next month. There’s still no consensus on health insurance for board members. The Insurance Committee plans to meet again early next month. Board members who get insurance pay for it themselves.
