Ottawa suffered a tough loss at Plano 8-1. Rylan Dorsey drove in the only run, Pitchers Payton Mangold and Conner Price combined for 9 strikeouts.
Marquette got a monster win at Woodland 21-0 in 4 innings. Brady Ewers Blasted a Grand Slam and a double, with a total of 5 RBIs, Hayden McKenna earned a double, home run and 3 RBIs, Taylor Waldron homered with 4 RBIs and Logan Nelson belted a home run with 2 RBIs. Nelson also pitched all 4 innings with 9 strikeouts.
Streator lost a tough one on the road at Morton 14-5. Brady Grabowski had 3 doubles with an RBI and Parker Phillis singled and doubled in the defeat.
Serena hosted and dominated Indian Creek 9-1. Cam Figgins had a strong performance on the mound with 10 strikeouts, Tanner Faivre had 3 hits, 5 steals and 2 runs batted in. Cole Shannon and Hudson Stafford each had 2 RBIs.
Newark won at home over Earlville 9-6. Tegan Kruser pitched 7 strikeouts and allowed 4 runs in the win. Bryar Keller had a triple in the loss.
Seneca shutout their host Midland 15-0 in 5 innings. Casey Clennon had 3 RBIs. Tyler Sulzberger and Clavin Maierhofer each had 2 RBIs. Matt Cruise earned the win pitching 3 innings with 8 strikeouts.
Softball
Marquette lost in 8 innings to their host Woodland 7-6. Pitchers Cheyenne Burns and Shae Simons combined for 8 innings with 7 strikeouts in the victory. Kaylee Killelea pitched over 7 innings with 7 strikeouts in the loss.
Serena won big at home over Indian Creek 12-0 in 5 innings. Pitcher Maddie Glade went 4 innings with 6 strikeouts and belted a homerun with 3 RBIs and Lauren McNelis batted a double and earned 3 RBIs on the day.
Streator came up short at Sandwich 5-3. Jaelyn Blakemore and Kadence Ondrey recorded RBIs in the loss.
The Streator Tennis team won at Coal City 3-2. Davey Rashid and Ryan Beck won in singles, The team of Cooper Wahl and Quinn Baker were winners in doubles.
The Marquette Lady Crusaders track team competed at Hall, Maggie Jewett won in the 1600 meter run and Mary Jo Lechtenberg finished 1st in the high jump.
The Streator girls soccer team lost at Wilmington 5-3.
