High School Baseball
Marquette won at home over Dwight 11-1 in 5 innings. Pitcher Taylor Waldron allowed no runs with 8 strikeouts Hayden McKenna, Sam Mitre, Logan Nelson and Julian Alexander each had RBIs in the win.
Ottawa lost at King Field to their rival LP 5-1. Masen Lynch allowed 1 hit and struckout 11 batters in the win. Jack Olson pitched 5 plus innings allowing 2 runs with 7 strikeouts in the loss.
Streator hosted and shoutout Manteno 7-0. Adam Williamson allowed 5 hits and struckout 12 batters. Jensen Ketcham blasted a 3 run homer and a double, Brady Grabowski drove a solo homerun and a single.
Serena dominated their host Earlville 17-2 in 4 innings. Tanner Faivre pitched 5 strikeouts and batted 3 RBIs. Cole Shannon had three hits with 5 RBIs

Ottawa dominated at home over Sycamore 14-0 in 5 innings. McKenzie Oslanzi had a big day pitching a shutout with 9 strikeouts and on offense, Oslanzi went 3 for 4 with 6 RBIs and a 2 run homer
Serena defeated their host Earlville 13-8. Lanee Cole blasted a homerun and earned 5 RBIs at the plate, Maddie Glade went 7 innings allowing 3 earned runs with 12 strikeouts.
LP were winners at home over Rochelle 14-1. Ava Lannen pitched a complete game striking out 7 batters. Lannen and Paige Kirkman each had 3 hits apiece in the victory.
Newark won big at home over Somonauk 14-4 in 5 innings. Kodi Rizzo and Kaitlyn Schofield belted home runs in the victory.
Woodland got a road win at Eureka winning 5-4. Pitchers Shae Simons and Cheyenne Burns combined for 8 strikeouts.

Ottawa defeated Princeton 5-0. Adam Gross and Sebastian Cabrera won in singles. Partners Noah Gross and Ethan Krafft and the team of Ethan Cela and Daniel Reinhardt were winners in doubles.
The Ottawa JV team defeated Princeton 3-2. The team of Karcin Hagi and Alan Sifuentes, partners Ethan Farr and Landon Thorsen and the duo of Trevor Mortenson and Aric Threadgill were all winners in doubles.
Streator competed with Rochelle. Ryan Beck and Davey Rashid won in singles.
The City of Ottawa’s Men and Women softball leagues are currently accepting rosters for the summer season. All Leagues will play 8 consecutive weeks.
