Ottawa Elementary School Supt. Cleve Threadgill wants the board to approve saving $3.5 million in Health and Life Safety Bonds. Threadgill says the money would be used for different projects around the district.
He says about two million dollars will go toward installing AC units at Jefferson and McKinley Elementary. But he hopes some of it will go toward the school district office.
He says the office needs some tuck pointing and new back wall. He also says he hopes the sign on the front of the building can be fixed.
The extra $1.5 million dollars could also help with projects at Lincoln Elementary including tuck pointing and some extra roof repair.
