Ottawa is one of the thirty-eight cities competing in the America in Bloom contest. The Ottawa is Blooming Committee will host judges for two days in June and will give them a tour of the city to show what’s been done to make it better.
Gardens Gate Owner Stephanie Stacy says although the city will be judged on different categories like the landscape, community involvement and heritage.
But she also says it’s really focused on the entire picture of what the city has to offer.
She says the other cities that are competing will vary in population. That’s because Ottawa has won awards three different times in previous years.
