Gaming terminal fees for businesses could go up in LaSalle. Establishments who own gaming machines might have to pay half of $120 for a license for each machine if a city ordinance is changed at the next meeting.
The company that makes the machine will pay the other half under state law. Businesses owners like John Aden spoke to the city council last night to try and make sure that the city wouldn’t raise prices exponentially. He says if the city council does decide to increase rates in the future, don’t shell shock businesses.
The council did vote 5-3 to move the recommendation to the next meeting where they would vote to change the ordinance. Aldermen Tom Ptak, Jerry Reynolds, and Joe Jeppson voted against.
Mayor Jeff Grove says business owners who have dart boards and pool tables will still pay $60 like before.

Business owner who own the gaming terminals attend the LaSalle City Council meeting to give their opinion on what the city should do about the fees for gaming terminals.
