The Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual dinner in person again this year. It starts at 5:30pm on Thursday, May 19th at the Starved Rock Lodge.
Executive Director Jeff Hettrick says at the dinner, the chamber will announce the winner of the Leo Parkerson Award. He says the person who wins the award should be somebody that, through their private works has helped the city.
Submissions for the award are due by this Friday at 5pm. The chamber says the nomination should include a narrative on why the nominee has positively impacted Ottawa. You can find the link for the submissions here. But the chamber says a narrative with the submission must be included. The narrative should include why you believe the organization/individual has positively impacted the Ottawa community. Submissions will not be counted if they don’t have a narrative.
