An Ottawa police officer who died over the weekend is being remembered as a great co-worker, friend, and human being. Brian Sember died of an illness. He’d been an Ottawa police officer for 23 years.

Ottawa Police Chief Brent Roalson says the void left by Sember’s untimely passing can never be filled. Earlville Police Chief Darin Crask says Sember was a close friend that he had the great honor of working with for more than 20 years. Messages from the Naplate Police Department and the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Department call Sember a great person, co-worker, and friend.
