The LaSalle County Board is spending almost a quarter million dollars for an architectural firm to design improvements at the Etna Rd. courthouse. Basalay, Cary, and Alstadt is getting the job. The firm will design east side atrium window replacements, ten new air handling units, a restroom remodel, and a new boiler. The windows are to be replaced because the seals are failing and condensation is forming inside them. The heating and air conditioning system is nearly five decades old, is inefficient, and doesn’t filter the air well enough for modern standards.
