The city of Peru has accepted a bid to improve the Washington Park tennis courts. SKI Seal Coating and Maintenance will work on the project for about $268,000.
The company will also add two sidewalks around the park, which is an additional $68,000. Parks Director Adam Thorson says when the project is finished; there should be four new pickle ball courts and three improved tennis courts.
Mayor Ken Kolowski thanked the city council for approving the project.
