A grant the city of Marseilles received to put sidewalks on Rutland St. has hit a technicality. City Engineer Mike Etscheid says the city received some confusing information from the Illinois Department of Transportation.
He says he’s going to talk with IDOT on Friday to figure out what’s going on. The city received the 550,000 dollar grant in June last year with help from the North Central Illinois Council of Governments. The sidewalks would go up to 11th Street and then also continue on Bratton Avenue to 10th St.
