Peru Deputy Police Chief Sarah Raymond says no one was shooting at or near the veterans clinic on Progress Blvd. today. Some reports about a threat there claimed so. Raymond says someone telephoned a threat to the clinic this morning. An investigation led to a well-being check and an arrest in Ottawa. Ottawa Detective Sgt. Kyle Booras says 60-year old John E. Wilson was charged with disorderly conduct and was given a notice to go court. Police showed up to his home in 1900 block of Champlain St. Booras also says Wilson allegedly made a second threat to the Hines VA in Chicago.
