It only took jurors about forty-eight minutes to convict and Indiana man of aggravated vehicular hijacking. 30-year old Darion Coleman was arrested in November last year in Montgomery County after he stole two cars.
Coleman first stole a car from the Clocktower Shell gas station in Peru which led to two people being injured. A 17-year old woman was taken to OSF Peoria after she broke her pelvis and foot while trying to stop the car. A 61-year old man did not want medical treatment.
Coleman then stole a car in Ladd. He could face between six and thirty years in prison.
LaSalle County Judge Cynthia Raccuglia set a sentencing date for May 12th.
