Scott Gryder of Oswego says if he’s elected to Congress, he’d like to create a quicker pipeline for getting money from the federal government to local governments. For example, local highway project funds are often sent to states first.

Gryder’s asking for the Republican nomination in the 14th Illinois district, which will cover northern LaSalle County. Gryder says he’s a pragmatic conservative who believes the government’s works should be limited to its constitutional boundaries. He’s against abortion and for gun owner rights.
