Four Republicans and two Democrats have filed paper work for LaSalle County Board elections. Craig Emmett of Ottawa is on the board now.
But Joseph C. Nuske of LaSalle, Rick O’Sadnick of Peru and William J. Brown Jr. of Utica would be new to the board if elected. Nunske is running against Ray Gatza in the ninth district for the Republicans.
Democrats Jill Bernal of Peru is running in the 12th and Joseph A. Savitch of LaSalle is running in the 14th. They are both on the board.
The 16th Congressional district also has a new candidate. JoAnne Guillemette will run against current Cong. Darin LaHood and candidate Walt Peters in the primary.
