A new way of evaluating how much COVID-19 risk there is in a community puts LaSalle County at a low level. The LaSalle County Health Department says the CDC bases that evaluation on new case rates and hospitalizations. The recommendation is still to isolate people for six to ten days if they’ve been exposed.
The county had three more fatal cases during the last week for 453 so far out of 28,612 cases. There were 126 new cases and 735 recoveries. The number of current cases dropped from 1,977 last week to 1,368 as of Friday.
