A new e-learning plan at Ottawa High School is not related to the pandemic. The school district started working on getting enough tablet computers for all the students in 2019. Supt. Mike Cushing says e-learning days are to keep from having too many snow days or days off because of flooding. The first five days off are made up and are already planned for in the school year. After that, days off aren’t made up. Instead of just losing instruction days, OHS will teach online.
Cushing says it’s important to give the students instruction, especially considering how much they missed during the pandemic.
