- At the Streator Woodland Class 1A , Yorkville Christian won big over Ellison 83-39.
- In the Pecatonica Class 1A, Pecatonica lost at home to Scales Mound 60-57.
- At the Marengo Class2A, Rockford Christian were winners over Northridge Prep 58-51.
- In the Mendota Class 2A, Princeton ended their season with a lost to Farmington 65-56
- AND in the Peoria Class 3A Sectional, Rochelle suffered a tough loss to Metamora 70-42
In Junior High Volleyball, Shepherd won last night in their 1st round of regionals against Troy Shorewood in 3 close matches. Leading the way for the Lady Rams were Adalynn Russell with 20 points, 3 assists, Kendall Biba adding 12 points and Piper Lewis recorded 5 Kills. The Rams take on Minooka for the championship game tonight at 4:30 in Shorewood at Troy Middle School.
The Cubs and White Sox first two series of the regular-season have been canceled. This after the league and the Players’ Association once again failed to reach a new collective bargaining agreement. Yesterday’s deadline passed without a new deal, forcing MLB to wipe out the first two series. Talks won’t resume until Thursday at the earliest.
The Chicago Bulls are headed to Atlanta to face the Hawks tomorrow night. The Bulls have lost two straight after having a six-game winning streak. The Bulls now sit two games behind the Miami Heat for the best record in the Eastern Conference.
