The LaSalle City Council and members of city’s fire department honored a firefighter who retired after thirty-one years of service at Monday’s meeting. Fire Chief Jerry Janick says Rahn Data started his career at the fire department in August of 1990 as a full-time engineer. This was the speech he gave at the city council meeting.
He says that Data worked in many roles as a charter member and president of the Local 4716 firefighters union. After the presentation from Janick, Data gave a short speech.
He was given a plaque in his honor and a trophy from the firefighters union.
