At the girls Class 1A Hinckley-Big Rock Sectional, Serena defeated their host 31-26.
Paisley Twait led the Lady Huskers with 15 points and will face Newark in the Sectional championship. The Lady Norsemen beat Schaumburg Christian, 71-54, Kelli Snyder had a big performance scoring 29 points for Newark.
Shepherd competed against Coal City in junior high volleyball.
The 7th graders ended their regular season with a win. Leading scores were Chole Carmona with 9 points and Kendall Biba adding 7 more.
The 8th grade team lost in 2 matches. Leading the way for the Lady Rams was Aubrey Sullivan scoring 4 points.
