The old Financial Plus Credit Union building in Ottawa is closed and will be replaced with a parking lot and landscaping this spring. CEO Tim O’Donnell says everyone’s welcome to take care of business in the new 32,000 square foot two-story building next door.
Financial Plus has 40,000 members—what credit union customers are. The credit union has five locations. Sixty-five employees work in the Ottawa building. O’Donnell says they were packed tight in the old building. Rooms for copy machines and paper shredders were turned into offices. People had to double up in the offices and cubicles were closer together than is ideal for the work environment.
The new building has twice the space. O’Donnell says it’s one Financial Plus can grow into and not need to expand for a long time.
