If you live in Marseilles, you might have received a Cross Connection Control Survey. The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency says the survey is for Cross Connection Control Programs that protect residents who drink the water.

Public Works Supt. Paul Rivett explains what information should be filled out on the survey.

An anti-siphon valve prevents water from flowing backward. The city says the surveys are due by March 31st. The survey could determine if a home should be inspected by a licensed plumber that could fix the connection if it needs it.
