A Chicago man has been sentenced to sixty days in the LaSalle County Jail and two and a half years of probation. 26-year old Reynaldo Diaz pleaded guilty back in August to cutting someone off and pointing a gun as he drove across Veterans Memorial Bridge in Ottawa after Independence Day fireworks in 2020.
Judge Cynthia Raccuglia gave Diaz the chance to make a statement, which he didn’t. And when he wanted to make a statement during her sentencing, Raccuglia said that it was too late.
Diaz pleaded guilty last year.
