A Mokena man won’t be going to trial in LaSalle County this month. Attorney Tim Cappellini says 30-year old Michael Swift is still negotiating with the state about his other case in Kendall County.
Swift is accused of trying to hire someone to kill to people involved with his murder case while in jail. In LaSalle County he’s accused of stabbing 21-year old Grace Taylor to death at her apartment in April last year.
He’s being held in McHenry County because Taylor is related to a LaSalle County jail employee. Judge Cynthia Raccuglia set a status date for March 3rd.
