An Ottawa man will spend three and a half years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of aggravated battery. Eighteen year old Fernando Martinez was accused of participating in mob action back in June, when he and two other men allegedly attacked a boy and a girl in the area of Woodward Memorial Dr. and Albin Stevens Dr.
Martinez also pleaded guilty to aggravated battery of a peace officer when an officer was allegedly injured when police tried to arrest him in August. One of the other men has a warrant for his arrest.
Twenty-one year old Kyle Prince didn’t show up for his court date Friday. And the other man, twenty-year old Damien Kwit, is scheduled to be back in court in March.
