The LaSalle County Health Department says 15.8% of coronavirus tests are coming back positive. Since the figure’s more than 8%, the county’s considered not to be doing enough tests.
Since last Friday, the department reports 1,331 new cases and 897 recoveries. Twenty-seven people were removed from the case count, because they were accidentally counted twice. The department says that happened when it was swamped with COVID cases during the last two months. So far, there have been 26,960 cases in LaSalle County. Twelve of the 425 fatal cases happened during the last week.
