Tonight on WCMY listen to a double-header of Ottawa High School basketball at Kaneland High School. Starting at 5:30 the Lady Pirates face the Lady Knights. After the girls game, The Pirates are also on the road to take on the Kaneland Knights. At the Tri-County Conference Tournament, the Marquette Crusaders will take on their host Putnam County in the 3rd place contest. In the Championship game, Seneca will do battle with Midland.

Other games scheduled in varsity basketball: Streator will host Coal City, Morris is home to face Sandwich, St Bede is at Mendota and Hall plays host to Princeton.

 

Results in girls basketball

Marquette won big over Henry at Bader Gym 42-22.  Josie Wager led the Lady Crusaders with 15 points, Lilly Craig finished with 13 points and Eva Mccallum had 6 points and 7 rebounds.

LP were winners over Sandwich 39-35. Brooklyn Ficek led the Lady Cavs with 17 points.

Serena won on the road at Depue 66-19. Katie Baker finished with 21 points, 10 steals and seven assists for the Lady Huskers.

Seneca earned a win at Roanoke-Benson. The Lady Irish were led by Kennedy Hartwig with 19 points.

Newark won at Somonauk 42-33. The Lady Norsemen Kellie Snyder had a double-double with 10 points, 12 rebounds.

 

Results in Junior High Volleyball

Marquette Academy competed against Mendota Holy Cross. The 7th grade team won in two sets. Top Performers for the Lady Knights was Hunter Hopkins who had 9 aces 2 kills and 4 assists.

The 8th graders also won in two matches. Hailey Abbott led the Lady Knights with 5 aces and a kill. 

 

Shepherd faced Putnam County Jr High. The 7th grade team won in three matches. Piper Lewis had 6 points, 2 kills and 1 block for the Lady Rams.

The 8th graders lost in 3 sets. Jordyn Allen finished with 6 points, 7 assists for Shepherd.
