After the girls game at seven, The Pirates take the hardwood to face the Sandwich Indians.

Tonight starts The Tri-County Conference tournament in boys basketball at Putnam County high school Midland will take on Henry and Seneca will face Woodland.
Games scheduled in girls basketball: Marquette is at Seneca, Streator travels to Coal City, St Bede is home to face Mendota and Hall will battle Princeton.

In Boys basketball
Ottawa won on the road at Sycamore 45-27. Braiden Miller finished with 11 points and seven rebounds and Anthony Miller had 10 points and three assists.
Marquette lost at home to Somonauk 57-44. Griffin Walker scored 14 points for the Crusaders.
Serena won big over IMSA 84-57. Ben Shugrue and Camden Figgins each scored 19 points for the Huskers.
At the Sandburg Sectional in Bowling. Ottawa’s sectional qualifier, Colin Sheridan finished his season with a six-game series of 981 and a high game of 181. The LP Cavaliers Ethan Picco advances to this weekend’s IHSA State Finals with a six game series score of 1389.
At the La Salle-Peru Pentathlon in high school swiming, The hosting Cavalier Co-Op team won the championship led by an individual championship performance from Joe Ovanic and second place by teammate Ryan Nelson. Dillon Malerk added a fourth-place individual finish in the standings for the LP/Ottawa co-op team.
In Junior high volleyball, The shepherd teams competed against Peru Parkside.
The 7th grade team won in three matches. Leading the way for the Lady Rams, Kendall Biba with 13 points, Piper Lewis with 9 points, 5 kills and Ashlynn Ganiere with 10 points, 3 kills.
The 8th graders lost in two games. Top performer for Shepherd was Isabelle Markey with 11 points and 2 kills.
