The village of Utica has a new village hall. It’s located at the old Waltham South School. Director of Village Affairs Jamie Turczyn says the new village hall will be open from 8:30 to 4:30 Monday through Friday.
She says the building will be more community friendly with the extra space. She says there are some new spaces like a community room and a gym. She says different sports camps will be using the gym.
The old village hall will be used by the police department, which was already using half of the space. Some new wiring was done because the phone system was moved from the old village hall to the new one.
Turczyn says there will some other improvements in the future, like giving the gym a new coat of paint.
